Relax in our parlor with a good book, enjoy some fresh air from one of the porches, or walk the path through a wooded 8 acres. Step back in time to early America when ladies and gentlemen stopped and smelled the honeysuckle.
The Parlor
Welcome to the Vaiden house, built in 1781. Once the double decker front porch of the home, the parlor and upstairs sitting area was enclosed at the turn of the century. The spaces offers a vintage record player, retro games and piano. A display case holds antiques once used on the estate. Enjoy a cup of tea while lounging, learn the stories of centuries past, or swing on the west-wing porch.
Wooded 8 Acres
Take a stroll on the paths through the persimmon and black walnut trees. Explore the 8 acres of woods and walk along the fresh water stream. Breathe in the fresh air and watch for birds, deer and wildlife indigenous to the area.
Historic Outbuildings
Take a step back in time and get a glimpse of how life was at the Vaiden estate during the 18th century. There is a pumphouse, detached kitchen, and pole barn.
In the 1800s the property consisted of fruit and nut trees, berry vines, and other plants to provide for the large family and other boarders that lived at the Vaiden House.
Wedding in the Woods
Vaiden Inn can host your intimate wedding. Choose a perfect spot anywhere on the 8 acres. A peaceful place in the woods, among the rows of white birch, between the grassy hills or under the canopy of large cedars.
The house offers a large newlywed suite and 4 additional rooms for close family and friends. There is amply parking and catering is available to include the wedding. We provide you with all you want to make your special day quaint, serene and simply beautiful.
Event Facilities
The Inn offers a full kitchen, kitchenette, parlor, 2 sitting rooms, 5 bedrooms, and 4 full bathrooms. The circa 1781 house is over 3,400 square feet to utilize for events, wedding, family gatherings, and vacations for longer stays. Both kitchens are fully stocked with cooking utensils, appliances, cookware, and dishes. The outdoor spaces are large with seating and dining areas, and firepit.
